Our company is local to Wisconsin, however our clients and passion for design have stretched our reach across the country.
About John Melby
The son of a builder and a teacher, John channels both of these backgrounds within his daily approach to passionate design. In his youth, he recalls walking around his childhood home drawing the floor plans. He followed his heart into architecture school. Upon graduating with his Bachelor of Architecture, John worked at a large commercial firm learning key components on how to run and manage a successful business. His intrepid work ethic has curated unique opportunities and rapid growth in the design industry. With Melby Design, he has fused the complexity, detail level, management, and software implementation from the commercial world and blended it with the scale, design process, and charm of the residential side. We love to sketch while we also embrace the power of technology.
When not in the office, you can find John spending time and playing sports with his three kids, cooking wood fired pizza with his wife, golfing new courses, and getting involved in his community. Let’s talk about your dreams.
